Jolie Image Photography Newsletter

Volume1, issue 3 August 2011
Welcome to the winter “Jolie Newsletter”

This month I thought I would talk about the planning of your photography session so that you get the best result possible. Often when we look at a great image we don't see the planning and effort gone into the creating of it, to family and friends it looks like one of those spontaneous moments that forever capture the love and fun in your family.
One of our most asked questions is what do I wear? There is no right answer because we are all so individual however there are big pluses if u follow a few simple rules and tailor them to suit your own  desired style .

1. Wear clothes u feel comfortable in, for women it is best to avoid tight necklines and cut off sleeves, go for necklines that v down and compliment your posture.
2.Try to avoid mixing to many bold colors or patterns in a family grouping.
3. Babies and young children are best in tighter fitting clothes so they don't bunch up and for girls wear leggings under short skirts to avoid being able to see the nappy or nicks.
4.When in doubt bring extra changes of clothes and then you and the photographer can discuss choices to better achieve the best results for you.

Don’t stress when deciding what to wear simply ring Jolie Image to ask advise, remember we are here to help you. See you soon!!

PHOTOGRAPHY TIP..
Photography Tip #3
A great way to begin the process of capturing better images in your photos is to educate your ability to see composition in all pictures. An ideal way to begin is to look at other peoples pics, whether they are from magazines, junk mail or the local paper. Take notice of photos that capture your interest and look at what it was about that particular image that caught your eye. Soon you will begin gathering ideas and it will reflect in your photography.
“You don't take a photograph, You make it” Ansel Adams
 News from the team...
How sweet are our children, all  individual and all priceless. Creating photographs of your children that reflect these traits is what makes my job so challenging and so exciting, you never quite know what to expect when you open the door and invite the next family in.
Henri Cartier-Bresson a famous photographer of the 20th century and father of the decisive moment says “sometimes you wait for a second and you catch it, at other times you stalk for hours” How true, each and every moment in a photographic session at Jolie Image with a family or child gives truth to these words.
Julia has this to say… Both Robyn and I have been busy behind the scenes throughout June/July working on some exciting new products. So we are introducing our new     Portrait Album range. These beautiful, personally designed albums are all the rage. At Jolie Image we are creating Story Book Albums so that you don't have to miss out on your favourite images. They have personalised photo cover and unlimited space for more pages. They are a great gift for grandparents.
Across is an example of our very popular brag books, prices start from $95.
Book your family in today for your professional photo shoot and we will design your very own album that you can cherish for years to come.
As always we would like to thank all the  families that come through our studio, it is gift to be able to photograph a part of your life for you to treasure forever. Thank you for choosing Jolie Image. Robyn & Julia
